Community was Served

It was kind of wet and gloomy last Saturday, but no matter, it was a still good day for a health fair.  About 90 or so people have gone through the fair to get their blood pressure or blood sugar checked, or get a flu shot - all for free!  The health-seekers were served by awesome group of volunteer nurses and community friends who chose to spend their Saturday giving health tips to folks in need of them.  We gave 54 free flu shots.  That is 54 people who will not get flu this season!  The wheel courtesy of Kaiser Permanente was a total hit wit promises of a price or two with every spin.  It was a good day for health for all.  Here are some of the scenes inside the Seafood City Supermarket where the fair was held with the help of the little community organization that could:  Sacramento Kapit-bahay Neighborhood Center led by Lilia Rivera.  This is our 7th year of partnering together to host a free health fair to the community.
